Remarks
One of my family friend was alumni of this college and she recommended this college saying that it has a quality educators and its mechanical department is much better than other colleges under the same university, also engineering.careers360.com gave a satisfactory review to the same. Moving on the good and bad aspects of the college: Lab facilities are pretty good; and has also good batch of faculties and new hostel buildings are quite good; library is also good. All in all it was a satisfactory experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical department had some good quality teachers and majority of them have a doctorate degree; i chose this course because i was told that mechanical is best of the trades of this college as lab facilities are quite good which helps in understanding quite well; term exams are pretty much regular (every month or so) and are moderate on difficulty levels. If you have studied well you will surely pass of flying colours.
Internships Opportunities
No I have not opted for any intership. However I have done summer training in IFFCO under the technical department where we were taught about functioning, handling and maintenance of various machines present in the production plant.
Placement Experience
Companies start hiring from 7th semester; companies like Adobe, Amazon, HUL, Capegemini, Accenture, TCS, Byjus, iCAT, oppo, vivo, hsbc, atkins, hero, samsung and many more visit campus. Highest package is around 27LPA and average package is of 4.3LPA
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are some what high but you can get government scholarship if you are eligible for it (based on family's financial condition) coming to placement opportunities there are numerous companies that visit the campus for placement and there are high chances of your placement if you want to join IT Sector with a handsome salary but in core placement there are not many companies that visit campus.
Campus Life
Campus life is very nice, it is a ragging free institute and there are numerous hobby and social clubs that can help you with technical knowledge or social involvement or following your passion; which is aided with a technical and a cultural fest conducted in November and march respectively. Library is also very nice with a numerous books and journals you can also have access to various e-books and e-journals and technical papers. Sport facilities are also nice.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are satisfactory. You are provided with basic furnishing, light, fan, bed you can opt for bedding and A/C and there is much security; however the meal is just OK. the menu are set for each week day which is decided by hostel students but the taste is not that great but that is the only issue, in terms of cleanliness there are no question about it.
Admission
I got admission through UPTU counselling hence there was no other round for admission but if you opt for direct admission then there will be written test as well as interview. The test is 10+2 science and math based so standard 10+2 books (like NCERT) would be more than sufficient for test preparation.
