SIES COLLEGE one of the best College in Mumbai University

I applied to SIES COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCE, AND COMMERCE (AUTONOMOUS) SION (W) for my undergraduate course. The procedure was quite smooth and the provided guidance was accurate clearing a lot of doubts at once. The admission in-charge from the college had a lot of experience and was able to manage smoothly. The college also recorded a video stating all the steps in the admission procedure and a list of mandatory documents. The college authority clearly mentioned all the required criteria like 10th, 12th, NEET, CET, and JEE marks. No irrelevant questions or documents were asked in the process.

I chose B.Sc (General) with a subject combination of CBZ but my main aim was to major in botany. My interest in plants and how they contribute in aromatherapy motivated me to opt for the following combination. I'll focus on the botany department in this review. The botany faculty had 70 students in the batch and 6 teachers for different chapters which made it easy to complete the syllabus smoothly and also teachers were given chapters or units on the basis of their qualification and experience. It's worth mentioning that the professors in SIES College irrespective of any department or stream are highly qualified and are best teachers who'll not only guide you through the path but also encourage you to widen your vision regarding the stream and other future opportunities. The botany faculty has a group of humble, student-friendly, and enthusiastic professors. The department is very disciplined regarding the submission of assignments and homework.

The intership programme that is organized by the college is very amazing because it not only constricts itself to certain streams only. An equal opportunity is provided to all students from different streams. The teachers are likely to offer recommendation letters to students for easy access for grabbing internships in the desirable firms or sectors.

A placement cell has been set up by the college which offers various companies and MNCs to conduct recruitment drives on the campus every year. The college offers entrepreneurship to students who are looking forward to their own start-ups. Various internships are planned throughout the learning years for the students so that their resumes are more effective than others.

The fee structure for the first year is 8,325 and for second year it decreases to 7,405. so the fee structure is quite considerable and also affordable. The opportunities are countless as the college has tie-ups with various organizations like Aspire for her, Akshara NGO, and other internship programmes which are organised after Sem 2 every year and the same goes on for higher years. The college provides scholarships on the basis of resevation and also under the guidelines of Mumbai University, which gives an oppartunity for students to continue with their studies. The college takes part in various competitions on state as well as national levels giving students an opportunity to showcase their talent in various fields. The college has also a tie-up with different organisation which provides the students the benfit of online learning NPTEL and Coursera are one such online sites available. The college sponsers 50 students every year from each department for doing anyone course for free.

The campus life at SIES College is quite safe, treasurable, and full of knowledge. Due to friendly nature of professors it makes learning and teaching process a lot more fun. The gymkhana provides so much area for the students interested in various sports accompanied with a full-equiped gym. Various clubs, organisations and comittees keep students from all the years active throughtout their college life providing them with experiences of all sorts of activity. The library of the college is worth mentioning and is considered to one of the best library, the library is not only famous for it's wide collections of books and case studies but also for the environment it provides for students to learn together. The college is considewred a very disciplined college because there's no case of bullying or ragging addressed by the new comers, the senior tenure students are quite helpful and always are available for the junior so learning process never stops.
