No Entrance Exam. Got Selected after 10th (SSC). Scored 66% and my college was the best option at that time for the marks I had scored.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course Structure followed by our college was as per the Mumbai University Guidelines. The Subject over the 3 year period focused on Accounting which included Co. Accounts, Mgmt Accounts and Cost Accounts along with Marketing, Economics and Additional focus on course like Advertising, Secratarial Practice, and Taxation.
Internships Opportunities
No our college did not provide internship at our times as our course did not have option or requirement for the internship.
Placement Experience
The course that i was enrolled in i.e. B.Com did not have any Placement or Job Opportunities. Thus our college was not able to provide any Placement/Job Guidance during our times. Those days the courses with specialisation were not available and hence no campus jobs were possible.
College Events
Our College celebrated the following events / days. A Grand Annual Day with participation of all the people for One Day. Other days were Rose Day, Traditional Day, Tie & Saree Day, Black & White Day, Friendship Day And other Couple of Days like Chocolate Day, Blues / Denim Day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The Fee Structure of our College was guided by the University Policy. The Ours was a College with Grant and hence fees were reasonable. There were no fees for Girls expect for some basic fee of 200 Rs. for Facilites and Administration. The fees for boys was approx 1200 to 200 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were very limited Scholarship available from College. There was grant available to people who could not afford college fees.
Hostel Facilities
Our was a normal college affiliated to Mumbai University. There was no Hostel facility neither was there any Mess Facility. The college had a Canteen. Our college canteen improved in the 5 years of our life as it changed its location 3 times in 5 years. By the time i graduated it was at a decent place in the college extension.
Alumni/Alumna
Our Alumni network is active but honestly i am not participating in the same and hence cannot comment on the activity handled by them.
Exam Structure
The College followed the Standard Exam Structure of University. We had exams twice during the year i.e. semester pattern. The 1st Semester had a weightage of 30% in the Final Exams expect of the in the final year of B.Com. The final exams of B.Com 3rd Year where university exams.
Admission
The Admission Process was simple in 1995. Got the Admission Form from College after the SSC Results. Applied to the College as per the standard procedure. My name was enlisted in the 3rd Merit List of the College. After that paid the Fees and the rest is history as they say.
Faculty
The faculty of our college was mixed bag. Very Good Professor of Law but having a major language barrier. We had couple of Professor for Accounts & Economics who were Authors of the Book on the subject and their books were refered by us for Examination.
