Remarks

We were supposed to apply for admission through the du admission portal. I applied for B.com (P) course and when the cut-off came we were supposed to choose the college on the basis of the % that we achieved in class 12th and the cut-off for the college. I wanted to go to Ramjas college but couldn't make the cut-off but I got Gargi college in the first cut-off and didn't think twice before enrolling in the college. On the same portal the cut-offs were given and the eligibility criteria for various courses and from that, we had to choose the college. After that, we had to apply to the college and pay the fee. DU doesn't have expensive fees so my first-year fee was 12000 INR.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since my exams were conducted online they weren't as difficult as they would've been if conducted offline. My first semester exams were in February and my second-semester exams were in June. We had to cover the first sem syllabus in a few months since we lost 2-3 months due to covid.

Internships Opportunities

In my personal experience, I have worked for Shine projects, SkillArena, and The Jurni for internships. Shine projects provide paid internships based on performance. The stipend is mostly given on marketing internships for most companies.

Placement Experience

Our placement cell provides a lot of opportunities for students whether it's an internship or a job opportunity. Large-scale companies provide internships and various courses at a discounted rate for students of Gargi college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure isn't very complicated, nor is the fee too expensive. Since it's a govt college the fee was just 12000 INR for a year. There is financial assistance for DU. however I didn't need it so I don't know about it.

Campus Life

Since the college has been going online ever since I enrolled I don't know much about campus. However, I did visit the campus once and it was really beautiful and open. Gargi college has a separate building for the auditorium which is a flex hehe. There's a very beautiful and amazing restaurant just in front of the college "Diggin". The food was amazing. There are other places to hang out too. And our college is very close to haus khaz and Sarojini Nagar market which we can go to enjoy.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

Great place to earn knowledge!!

Hindu College was certainly the dream place and score too was enough to get admission there. However, my parents sent me to Delhi with a condition that I can apply only in Ladies college.
