CET - 98 out of 200, AIEEE - 58 , With this score firstly i never thought of getting a good college in University of Pune. but i studied about most of the colleges in pune and then took admission in this college. As this college provides good education with good infrastructure mainly located in centre of Pune city.
Course Curriculum Overview
My branch was Information technology. In this 4 year course i have many subjects related to my branch from which i got the entire knowledge of information technology. The college provides good teaching staff and regarding practicals and labs there are many facilities for students. Therefore students are get into research with this knowledge easily.
Internships Opportunities
No, this College do not provide internship. But there are some companies which conducts interviews in the 3rd year and gave the projects to the students who cleared their rounds.
Placement Experience
There aren’t any ‘dream companies’ as such, but Infosys takes a large number of students. Some other companies include Wipro, TCS, Bosch, Tata Motors and many more. Placements are somewhat branch dependent, with Computers, IT, Electronics and E&TC having an edge Mechanical and Electrical.
College Events
There is hardly any support for extra curricular at Modern College of Engineering. Only one festival called Pulse is celebrated (half-heartedly), sometime in February. Students say it's ‘horrible’, and that they never end up receiving their prizes. The technical event named M-Pulse and cultural event called Spandan is celebrated every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees of this college is Rs. 85680 per year. Which is actually a normal fees compared to other colleges in pune. Fees is not expensive as many students can opt for the scholarships and there are some quotas like TFWS i.e tuition fees waiver scheme. And students can get education loan also for paying the fees thats why i do not think this fees is so expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
State Government Minority Scholarship, Scholarship for SC, ST students with income under Rs. 2,00,000/- and freeship of Rs. 2,00,000/- above no limits. Scholarship for VJNT, SBC, OBC students with income under Rs. 1,00,000/- and freeship of Rs. 1,00,000/- above to 4,50,000/- under limits.
Alumni/Alumna
As the college is developing and only 15 years old , the alumni network is still growing and under process but many of the seniors are placed in good company and increasing the opportunities for their juniors.
Admission
I got admission in this college through my CET score. And for that i have gone through the whole CAP process conducted by Government of Maharashtra. I got this college in first CAP round and after getting my allotment letter i took my admission within 2 days after college allocation. The process is quite simple.college is really co-operative so nobody needs to worry about the process.
Faculty
Students are quite divided, when it comes to talking about the faculty. Some professors are good, but many have communication problems. All in all, the faculty is said to be average. But everyone is co-operative and helpful in nature. Office staff is also good. students never face any problem regarding their academics or office related work.
