Remarks

I have applied to this college through JEELET2020 because I have to take admission in Metallurgical Engineering so after Jadavpur University it is the one and only last option for me. I don't have any quota. If anyone wants to take admission to this university they have achieve a good rank in WBJEE for 4 years B-Tech and also a good rank in JEELET for 3 years B-Tech program. After alottment through WBJEE Board you have to get in touch with this university and fill a form and pay the admission fees with required documents like your score card, rank card, 10th and 12th marksheet and other documents. After that they will publish a list of candidates where you can see your name and department and the date when you have to physically report with all documments.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have chosen this stream. After all, I think in this stream you have more options to study and research work and a better job also than mechanical engineering because I have already completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and I have 1 year 8 months work experience from that point of view I am writing this. Student Faculty Ratio is good because the intake capacity is only 30 students. Most of the faculty have research work experience and obviously, they are very much highly qualified and their behaviour is also good and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The companies near the Asansol area like Durgapur, Ranigaunge and Dhanbad the companies belonging from these areas offer us the Internship program. and also NML, IIT KGP and other IITs offer our students internships on their ongoing projects.

Placement Experience

4

From the 7th sem students are getting placement interviews. the salary offered by companies for B-Tech are generally 22k to 25k per month and some companies offer more than that. If you have to get a job minimum of 75% marks are needed to participate in the placement drive. My plans after getting a job are to continue that job for at least 2 years and then change the company and starting M-Tech or MBA side by side with the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is low comparable to Pvt Universities and Pvt Colleges but if we compare it with other Govt Universities the B-Tech courses and Diploma courses are quite high fees structure. you will get all types of scholarships and financial assistance and placement also for the engineering division only.

Campus Life

4

This is good in general. All types of activities are arranged by the university. Classrooms are neat and clean and well lighted and mainly projector facility also available. dedicated playing area for and girls are also there. Various Communities like IIE Cell and its sub-divisions are there and as per your choice, you can choose and join.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
