Remarks
The admission process was pretty impressive, and they provide decent placements, although if someone is from Civil Engineering then it's quite difficult to have a sound placement. The students from other branches get good placement. The facilities are really really good, few of them being the best. The hostel facility is also great but if you are considering the ROI then would suggest going to some other college since it's a bit expensive.
Course Curriculum Overview
The civil engineering course is pretty good out here and the college provides decent placement to civil engineering students but in comparison to the other branches like computer science and it, there will be a bit less placement. Most of the placements at a civil engineering branch will come from IT companies there is a very less number of core companies that are coming from placements. The faculties are pretty great and a few of them being the best of all. They do have good laboratories and the exams are pretty decent. The level of the question paper is generally moderate and on some occasions that tend to give some high level questions.
Internships Opportunities
Regarding internships, you will have to go for internships on your own. You have to search for internships on your own. You have to do two internships one in the second year and one in the third year. If you are willing to have an internship from the college itself then you have to notify the college at the beginning of the academic session.
Placement Experience
Suresh becomes eligible for placements starting from 7 semesters and the different types of companies visit mainly IT companies and for civil engineering students a very less number of core companies are coming from placements some of the Maharashtrian housing and shapoorji pallonji. Students can sit for multiple placements, but if they are been selected for a particular company they can sit for another company only if the package that is being given by the current company is half then the placement which will be given by the company where he or she is going to sit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is pretty high in comparison to the rest of the colleges since nowadays job opportunities for civil engineering students are pretty scarce since most of the job opportunities are coming from the IT department. Core companies tend to recruit limited students. Moreover, the return of investment is very less, like investing 16 lacs for a b tech degree and in return will be having a general placement of around four to five lacs only.
Campus Life
The annual fest which is organised at KIIT is pretty great and movie stars, as well as big singers, come up to perform in the College fest there are several events that kiit organised for their fest. They do have a very big and very good library where you can get any type of books that you want. Pyar is a separate building for the library and also a study room attached to it where you can go and study before your exam nights. There are numerous societies where you can join for different kinds of activities let it be for the social cause or any co curricular activity.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel are pretty good, different kind of food items, different kind of menus depending on the day on which you will be having the lunch dinner or breakfast did you have two days of chicken today's of fish and there are pretty flexible menus for people who really want to have the rice or roti or whatever they like veg items are available throughout the whole to be so there is no such thing where people Non vegetarian will be facing problems regarding the food menus. There is ample amount of space in the hostel you can of for non AC hostel or you can normal AC hostel charges double the amount which you will be given for the non ac hostels.
