Foot_Step to College Life

I have previously applied to MSIT when I got my first allotment letter. I have not attended the college because of its poor placement and infrastructure. I have not attended through any quota my general rank was 4503. Then first want your allotment letter and your class 10 and 12 marks. There is no age limit for giving the WBJEE exam, your minimum age should be 17. And your minimum marks should be 75%in 10+2 boards. They asked me about my rank card and my allotment letter and during the counselling day you have to go with your parents.

I was well passionate about this course and I think that I could explore more in this field if I develop keen attention towards it. The faculty ratio is about 9:1. Most of the faculty members are having PhD degrees and many of them are also IItians. They teach in the most diligent way it could be possible. The teachers are very helpful and they answer all the questions where we have doubts. And also help us to explore more facts and knowledge in that particular field. Well, we have a total of 3 exams in each semester. Two are like the unit test which is generally of 20 to 30 marks and the other one is of 70 marks which is the difficult one and to maintain around 8 CGPA it is required to attend all the classes.

Companies generally TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Amazon, Cognizant, Honey wall, TCS Ninja, HCL are some of the mass recruiting that offer placements and internships. The internship generally includes Digital Marketing, Customer Project, Graphic Design, Project Coordinator, Content Writing and many more. The final project generally includes a program related to the real world in any language.

The student becomes eligible in placements from the third year of their college. The main hiring companies include TCS, Wipro and Infosys. But if someone has potential they could to their startups in marketing or any other field. The mass recruiting companies include TCS and Wipro. Generally, about 26 companies visit this college and the highest offer goes around 3. The highest package on campus is around 12-14 lakhs the average package is around 4-5 lakhs per annum. About 90% of students from the CSE and IT department gets placed every year. But in Civil, mechanical, Electrical about 40-50% students get placed. After getting the degree I am interested to do M Tech in AI in some of the finest colleges like IITs or NITs for which my gate score should be very high.

In Kolkata, you will notice that in every college the total fees in the 4 years of Btech is within 5 lakhs whether it is for private or government college. In TMSL the fees structure is 4,84,000 which is very less compared to other colleges outside West Bengal. The semester wise fees is about 55,000 . So we get a cost effective college. Since TMSL is a private college there is no scholarship for any student . Every student have to pay the same amount of fees. There is no financial assistance for any student, the policy is like 'Give fees, study well'. TMSL provides a good job opportunity but it is only for CSE and IT student where they get 90% placement while in other departments like Civil, Mechanical, electrical about 40-50% student gets placed.

EDGE the biggest tech fest in Kolkata and the second largest tech fest in whole eastern India is organised by our college. It is generally conducted in September. The library is too small but it accounts about 86,000 books . The classroom is well organized and also having central ac. In some classes room, there is also a digital blackboard. Well in TMSL generally fotball is the main sport that is being played by most of the students. The campus holds extracurricular activities in singing , dancing , dramatics and sports. Yes , there are many social groups and clubs of cultural activities and some included designing, painting, devleopment clubs which incude game development, app development and also coding.
