This is the best opportunity i have in my education life.

I appeared for the WBJEE exam and score a good rank in it after that, through councelling I got to this university. I choose this university because it is the only last option after JU for Metallurgical engineering in West Bengal. After confirmation, I have to submit all documents on the particular date mentioned by the university. Overall the admission procedure is very smooth.

Our course curriculum is pretty thorough and informative. The labs are very good which we need to understand when we are in real working life so it is a mandatory requirement. We get to learn about many things, especially I want mention iron and steel making, Corrosion resistance, Fracture analysis, Heat treatment these subjects I liked most. The student-teacher ratio is good. All faculties are highly qualified to have minimum M-Tech and PhD common, and also they have industry experience.

various ongoing training is under NML Jamshedpur. And already the HOD, TPO, and Student Co-Ordinator decided that some of the students will be sent to Jai Balaji Steel, Tata Steel, Tata Metaliks for internship and some students who want to get Internship on Project work are send to IIT KGP, IIT Bombay, NIT Durgapur and other reputated institutions where various high-level projects are going on.

We are in the 1st batch of B-Tech so we have to wait for our 7th sem but the Diploma candidates get offers of 15000/month average and some offer more than that. In Diploma 85% students get placement. The criteria to get participate in the campus drive isto maintain 75% attendance and minimum 7.5 CGPA. Then department conduct PI and depending on the rank we get the chance to participate in placement drive. I wish i will get a offer of minimum 25000/month in west bengal.

The fees structure is quite expensive for middle-class students but they offer scholarships so dont worry and financial assistance are also provided by the Finance department. They offer campus jobs after 7th sem.

The university understands the current trend of what the students need for better understanding so they provide audio-visual teaching facilities, free wifi campus, gym facilities, coomon rooms seperated for boys and girls. Canteens food quality is good and cheap in cost. Water ATM is in the campus. Books are provided by the book bank and variety and stock of books are huge but they should include digital library facility also. We have Social acitivity group and IIE Cell for various work. All kinds of programs are organised by the university.
