It was based in cut off marks and we had a personal interview and from that student were shortlisted and selected to be a part of Stella Maris.we had orientation day , respected principal sister Rosy Joseph, vice principal sister Susan and other college faculty members explained us about the college ,it's heritage, it's achievements etcon the first day of College. From then to the Next 3 days we had department vise orientation right from content involving drescode, college code of conduct,about various fellow departments and extra credits provided by them etc. We are also informed about the placement and college tie up with abroad universities.

I specialised my higher secondary in commerce.Thus I took commerce as my stream in UG. I belong to morning match with a population of 81 members,as there is a huge demand for that batch. ours is a 5 faculty member department with professors working for more than 30 yeras and proud alumni of Stella MarisThe syllabus ,exam pattern and exam dates are professional built so that it's both student and professor friendly. The difficulty level is moderate..

Final year UG and PG students are eligible to sit in campus interview. As of for Bcom fields 2 companies namely Deloitte for audit assistant and DE shaw for fellowship associate came to hire .Offers made weren't made public.As of now De shaw came with a package of 9lakh/pa but the entrance was difficult and I am not sure if any of them got placed. Decent number of people were selected In Deloitte.I personally feel the percentage of students getting placed should be increased many times, I m looking for placement. I m someone who is looking for a job in the arena of accounts and finance and looking forward to get placed in a good company and looking forward to be an asset to the company and also build a strong foundation for my career

Let's talk about aided section..the fees structure is fairly low compared to self financing .But I personally feel they could have reduced it during this pandemic .As the fees structure before and during pandemic remains the same but the families economic conditions are narrowing day by day. Coming to self financing ..the fee charged in self financing it thrice that of aided batch. The college do provide private scholarship, government scholarship and fees concession for the Student ,provided they cater to their eligibility.

Life at Stella was super fun and content though I technically attended college for 10 months physically then pandemic hit us .Every year the college union comes up with extraordinary idea to perform one step ahead from the previous union members this making it engaging and colourful every year, we have many clubs from different fields.we have an annual inter collegiate fest called AQUILAE .Apart from that we have intra department culturals.we have an extraordinary librabry with fantastic bok collection and online acess is also made available.College fives equal focus on sports and a lot of students are given an opportunity to study here via sports quota.

People with the eligibile cut offnin their 12th grdae irrespective of their discipline of borad, were shortlisted and called for the first round. The first round was a personal interview with department faculty members.. The basic question asked was talk about yourself , they were keen to know our view about the college and if the candidate wsa able to manage answers confidentlaly without stammering were spot selected.Those whose language didn't match with their requirements were sent to a specialised program for a week conducted by the college .
