Remarks
Institute holds the third-best chemistry department in India, and according to my JAM Score, I got this institute and chose it. IIT Roorkee has 150 years of tradition in engineering and science that too influenced me to choose this institute. In the first allotment i got iit bhubaneswar and i gave for upgradation because i didnt like the infrastructure of iit bhubaneswar and the chemistry department.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was my dream to pursue masters from one of the IITs. I chose this course because I did my graduation in chemistry, and I wanted to do masters. In IIT Roorkee, the student-faculty ratio is excellent, and faculties are extraordinarily talented professors who have done their PhD and PdF abroad. Their teaching was terrific, and most of the classes are digitalised and well equipped to grab our attention through visualisation. They conducted exams promptly, the schedule will be given few weeks before the exam, and the level of exams was comparatively tricky. They conducted internal assessment tests, midterm exams and end-term exams to complete a semester.
Placement Experience
There are no such reasonable placement offers for science students. But there is a very good placement cell for the technical students in campus. The highest package for a CS student was 1.45 crore in 2020.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I think there are no such good scholarships from the institute side. If you have an annual income of less than one lakh, they might waive your tuition fee. Apart from that, I don't think the institute is providing financial assistance. There are no such jobs on the campus that you can do with a stipend for science postgraduates.
Campus Life
You can expect a magnificent campus at IIT Roorkee. The 400-acre campus has an excellent infrastructure and amenities. There is a well arranged central library where you can fulfil your academic requirements. There are students clubs and student activity clubs where you can find sports, games, new ideas and all. For extracurricular activities, there are numerous clubs to get a team. The institute has two annual fests. One is THOMSO that is a grand youth festival and a technical festival COGNIZANCE. Both are amazing to enjoy.
