Reputation and location, it is one of the best institute for studying core engineering, as a part of civil engineering department, we had great professors not all but some. Placement history of th college students get placed in good industries, with a lot of MNC visiting the campus for hiring. Another reason was geography, near cities like chandigarh and Delhi with a good transport facility so attending workshops or sessions at the places was easier. Also I was guided by seniors that it is a great place to learn and grow.

Student faculty ratio in the civil dept was 1:25 approx, we had three mid terms/ sessional out of which we had to attempt 2. For both theory and practicals, these exams had a major say in determining your CGPA. 50% weightage, the rest was covered by the end semester. Difficulty in some subjects was mediocre, and above avg in some. We also have a 6 month internship semester, in the 6th sem of our course.

I interned with drdo Chandigarh, for 6 months and we had to go home for the remainder of our degree in March 2020.

There is one thing abt NIT Kurukshetra, that our seniors used to say and I realised it myself, if u really really want a job and u have a decent cgpa, u will get placed. For sure. Our batch 2021 was not the luckiest one, with covid the no of companies decreased and so didi the placement for my branch civil it dropped to almost half. Highest package was offered by Microsoft, avg package around 6lpa . I got placed and I am continuing with my job.

All the income criteria is considered, and people with less income are given consesion in the tution fee. Scholarship opportunities are also available to the students, and the training and placement cell is there for job opportunities

This is the best part of NIT kurukshetra, clubs and societies, this is where we learn and grow. Clubs for dance, music, dramatics, art, tech, travel. Society like infra, mech soc, sae, gawds. Get it any of these your social life will be awesome

No, to get into NIT we have to clear the jee with a good enough rank. We do not have to undergo any interview or gd. Only the jee, and the jossa councelling later on.
