what i feel about my college?

GOOD:institute of national importanceIIT madras as mentorA new cirriculam which encourages towards design,entrepreunership.well equipped modern infrastructurestudent body,clubs by every departmentBAD:perhaps may be the placement ,no worries it is improving when compared to previous years.

The curriculum is different and encourages design thinking, entrepreneurship by focusing more on developing product ideas so that students are into problem-solving at an earlier stage during their degree. because of this courses are well selected and provide knowledge to understand what is the next step. student ratio depends on the course varies from 20-150 in a class per 1-2 faculties but students are always encouraged to one-one interactions. writing exams and scoring well / sometimes to pass demands a very good understanding of the topic.

No, due to sudden covid conditions mechanical department couldn't receive many companies offering internships, taking this into consideration students are allowed to internships on campus under professor guidance,and some under incubator named MADEIT.

Placement cell which is also a student body being headed by professional in charge is what brings companies for on-campus selections, upon visiting previous year placements info it is understandable that cse is at a higher side in placements where numerous companies have visited when coming to mechanical department there were 13 companies, criteria to sit in placements varies previous semester it was cgpa> 7 is what I heard. but then I also see my seniors who couldn't sit in the on-campus drive but secured jobs off-campus with the skill set they developed.

Fees strcture for general, OBC is similar but varies with SC, ST which are simiar.starting off with 1st semester there is approx 1000 decrese for every semester.general OBC - 85000 per semester including hostel fees.SC, ST -around 20k-30k per semester including hostel fees. appart from regional scholarships CAMPUS financial aid of about 16k under criteria of cgpa>8.5 but the amount varies with batches.

Life at IIITDM is engaging, gives you a remarkable understanding of yourself apart from the academic aspect. we do have a cultural fest - Samagata and a technical fest - vasist. if you are not confining yourself to a hostel during the fest you will definitely feel a new vibe around the campus. there are numerous clubs specific to departments, hobbies, skills where everyone is invited, infrastructure is top-notch.
