A college in Budget and lot of opportunities.

The admission process is based on merit. It accepts two examination results, JEE MAINS and WBJEE, after that there are 3 rounds of seat allocation. And you can fill the choice of and according to your marks seat will be allocated.

The course is very much interactive as it has many laboratory classes, and labs are well equipped to perform. Faculty is very helpful whenever you are in doubt you can contact them they are ready for your help. The standard of the faculty is high as most of them are PhD scholars. The exam is conducted in a well organised manner. And marking system is based on MAKAUT university.

Internships are available from the third year Itself. A maximum of CS students is placed in the third year itself. After that most student gets the offer of PPO. Many Companies Like -Microsoft, Vertusa, Ibm, Wallmart, Intel visit the campus with internship opportunities providing stipends from range 60 k to 10k. Microsoft and Walmart provide a stipend of 60 k. Opportunities on the project making start from the third year that gives hands on experience of industrial overview.

Placement is overall good for CSE, ECE IT Branches as a bunch of tech companies visit the campus Internships are provided from the third year, but for core branches, there is a shortage of core companies. In Cse, IT 90%students are placed but this percentage decrease for core branches to 60 %. The highest package is 17 lakh on campus whereas off campus opportunities are well grabbed by students and their package may rise to 33 LPA, average package is 6 LPA for CSE, IT, ECE branches.

Fees structure are in the budget if we compare it with other colleges providing that many opportunities. Cost to study is lump sump 5 lakh at my time of admission but now it has raised. Scholarships are provided for all needful students. If you reside in Bengal it cherry on the cake as many scholarships are open for you.

If being particular about campus it is well equipped but not big. It has a small campus. But well maintained, it fully facilitated with wifi. Clubs are very much active such as GEEKONIX, SAMARITANS, etc. The tech fest of GEEKONIX Edge Is one of the biggest tech fests in Kolkata. Sporting is limited as there is not much space out there. The library plays a major role as you can find all relevant books.
