YMCA - Review

The admission process is based on councelling that is done through JEE CRL. Two types of Councelling are there: Online and offline. In online councelling conducted by HSTES, we have to do registration and select choices, and lock them. After online councelling, there is physical councelling conducted by University itself for which we have to register also. In physical counseling, we have to visit the university, and seats are allotted based on the number of vacant seats and candidates available in that mode.

Considering the course curriculum, it's very good. The first-year course is the same across all streams. Core subjects start from the 2nd year. Currently, everything is on online mode so it can't be compared with offline mode but the online mode has its own considerable benefits that can't be ignored.

University offers several internship opportunities to students from the 5th semester onwards, however, a student can do an internship even from the 1st semester if he wishes to do. It's in the hands of students to actively look for internships and grab them as soon as they arrive.

Being a govt university placements are not good as that of Private Universities but still, it's something good. Companies like Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, Flipkart do come for on-campus placements. Amazon is the highest payer among these. The highest package was of Amazon with 28 lakh p.a. While above companies have an average Placement of 8 lakh p.a. Some other companies also visit for on campus placement. Usually, a student becomes eligible for placement from the 4th year / 7 semester onwards only.

The fee is pretty ok. It's not very high as Private institutions. Fee Structure follows even and odd semester policy, both have a different fee with only a difference of 2000 - 3000. If a candidate is of SC caste then he may get several other benefits primarily the main scholarship provided by the Haryana government to all SC students in gov Institutes. However, there are other scholarships also available for students that can benefit them in many ways. One such is the VPM scholarship for students that comes every year and may provide scholarships ranging from 20000 to 50000 depending upon requirements. Some of my friends and classmates have got this although I who also needed didn't get it. So you may try your luck.

There are plenty of clubs and groups available for everyone. Clubs for dance, chess, singing, coding, sports, drama, cultural society, TPO cells, etc. You will find plenty of clubs, cells, society here. You will be given a chance to participate in all of these clubs. There is also a library through which you can borrow books for your semester studies and other books also. You can come to the library any time when it's open and read books you wish to read there.
