Entrance Preview

I wrote Lateral entry test, 274 was my rank in that exam. Lateral entry test was only for those students completed the three year diploma course and can enter in to the third semester.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was extremely superb which was affiliated to university of calicut. The exams were also not so tough. The 85 percentage of people were getting more than 80 percentage marks. The publishing of results was little bit late due to some the university issues.

Internships Opportunities

No, There was no internship as the B.tech course does not contain such programs for students. That is meant for M.tech students.

Admission

I had completed three year diploma in engineering from govt polytechnic. After that I wrote LET(Lateral entry test) exam and i secured 274 rank in that exam. After that i had to seethe advertisement of this college in the newspaper. Then visited the collage and collected the application forms. Got interview date after application. Then got selection to the third semester.

The faculties were excellent and the most of them were M.tech holdres. The style of taking class or teaching was superb. Everything will make understand through practical ways. They will not leave any subject without ensuring which is placed inside the student well.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I have only applied to this college. One of my friend who was studying in this college suggested me this college. Because of my KEAM mark, I didn't get other government colleges for CSE. JECC is not for the weak.

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. Good Campus and enjoyed the time in there.

We had a common exam for the admissions. And the rank in the exam determines which college we get to study. I was trying to get into the government college. But didn't had enough rank to get the set. The real review

Actually when I was writing my boards I paid 10000 and they asked me to block myself a seat. They kept two conditions two score above 85 percentage in 12th and keam should be qualified.i happened to get both so after that I went back to college they gave me a check list of documents to bring for registration. I bought those they registered me in.
