Internship Oppurtinities

When i was preparing for Jee exam i also consider to give other state government engineering exams as well. So i come across Wbjee exam(West bengal Jee entrance exam) and i appeared for that. In this way i got a decent rank(around 5k among lakhs) so i opt Heritage College(a well known engineering college of Bengal). As per my rank I got ece branch in Heritage. As i was not having satisfied rank in Jee exam so that is also one of the reason to went for Wbjee exam. Coming to admission criteria in my college one should have a decent rank which is under 12k(approx) in Wbjee exam in order to avail any core stream in my college.

I choose ECE(Electronics and Communications) in Heritage Institute of Technology,Kolkata because at that time i talked with so many seniors about placements, faculties and all as i know that this college is best as per my rank. Seniors told me that placements were very good for ECE branch. Talking about the faculties,so being a part of Heritage final year student I can easily answer this. So faculties are very cooperative ,they always give less pressure for studies. A student can get very decent environment in College campus. So many faculties are very educated such as phd holders , ex IIT proffessors. They are enough to solve all the students doubt. But one thing need to be clear some faculties are strict about student attendence.Some teachers lectures are boring as well thats why student strength of class is very less.Talking about the procedures of exam there are only two internals(mid sem) and one semester exam.Diffuculty of these exams is of easy to medium level.

Talking about the internship opputinities there are not so many companies will come from campus. Amazon will come at the beginning of final year for SDE intern position. As per my knowledge Hyland will also come. Internship oppurtinies is not so high in my college but Training and placement cell will provide good off campus oppurtinies for internship when a student in his/her pre final year.

At the begining of 7th semester i.e final year campus placement starts. So one need to be in final year to be eligible for placements. As a part of campus placed students i can easily say that there are so many companies will come like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant,Amazon (for SDE intern) and so on.The highest package one can get from Amazon as a Software developer position which is around 30 lakh per annum. The average package is around 4 lakhs. Talking about the placement percentage student can expect 75-85%. In case of CS/IT/ECE branch students one can easily expect around 90-100%.

As a part Heritage college which comes under Makaout so fees of all makout colleges are very nominal as compare to other private colleges. Fees of Btech is approx 4 lakhs for the whole course.Talking about the scholarship policy in my college,one can get fee remission if a student belong to low category and belon to West Bengal. But so many students in my college are from Bihar and they can easily get loan from Bihar government through Bihar student credit card scheme. There is an option of Vidya laxhmi loan as well in the Heritage website. One can easily avail education loan through respective banks. Students can apply through the Heritage Portal. Talking about the placements College is having decent placement approximately around 75-80%. In case of CS/IT/ECE it is around 95-100%. As i am in final year i also got placed though oncampus. In fact i am having more than one offers as well. The average package offered in my college varies from 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs.

Campus life is awesome. There are clubs such as Rotaract,NSS where students are having hands on experience on different extracurricular activities like social service and campus fest engagement and so on. There are some coding clubs as well. Campus is having so many playgrounds for different sports like crickets, BasketBall, sniper and so on. Campus area is very awesome which is around 146 acre excluding those parts that are under construction. College is having one big underground Library full of ac and includes digital library as well.
