Xavier's institute is a well-known business school in the state of Orissa with provides an excellent level of education at an affordable rate. The process of admission in the college is done through on the basis of CAT/XAT scores followed by a round of interview and marks of graduation that is required.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is divided into six semesters with the first three semester focusing on all the subjects and then there is specialisation that has to be selected by the student. I had opted for marketing specialisation. the teachers in the college are highly qualified professionals with multiple case studies, group projects, live presentations are done.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is provided in the 2nd year for 6months in which the College first prepares you for the training then sends you to reputed firms to learn the work over there and have a domain-specific experience that can help you to boost your career and give you clarity about the functioning of the industry.
Placement Experience
Companies from around the country visit the campus with high demand in the field of sales and marketing, consulting and finance, The highest salary obtained from batch was at 20 lakh. Companies like Icici, HDFC, Tata, Birla and many more approach the campus for providing pre placement and placement offers to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the whole course of 2 years I had to pay 20 lakh without the hostel charges and mess charges. Multiple opportunities in the field of scholarship are provided by the college on basis of merit and annual income of parents.There are multiple student loans that are offered by the college to reduce the financial pressure.
Campus Life
College organises its annual fest every year which is called XPRESSIONS, held in the month of October- November with the fest being a mixture of cultural and business event. Multiple colleges take part in the event. There are different committees and clubs present which consist of IlluminatiX, Student council, Constrat, Alumni committee and many more. The college is fully equipped with wifi and has huge library with various number of books and journals.
Hostel Facilities
College hostel is divided properly in seven blocks with hostels for boys and girl being separate. There are different types of room that the students can choose from with price being different for each. The food provided in the college is really tasty and healthy with hostel provides meal four times a day. The hostel is equipped with all the basic amenities like almirahs, study table, wifi, water and electricity supply 24x7.
