Entrance Preview

Admissions are through JEE. You need a good rank to get CSE. Great curriculum & campus placement. Good residential facility as it is a completely residential campus. Admin is strict but very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exhaustive course curriculum with great labs to learn on your own. Supportive faculty makes learning fun. There are tutorial classes for better attention besides the lectures. Semesters are conducted punctually & you will have no issues with completion of syllabus. If you are good, you will be placed with a company before you finish your course.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. Students are encouraged to pick great internship opportunities. Many alumni also come in to pick interns. Faculty members will encourage you to find good internships through various portals. Stipend cannot be generalised as it varies greatly across a batch. But if you are determined, you will get a fantastic internship.

Placement Experience

Almost all big IT companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipr etc. visit campus in the 3rd year of course. The selection process varies from company to company. They all offer similar Freshers package of around 4 lacs which is decent to begin with. You can also participate in any regional or off campus placement camp as well.

College Events

Le Feistus is the annual college fest. There are robotics fest as well. Freshers party is a fun event too. All kind of dance, song, debate, poetry & other events are celebrated. Guests are recognised people too. All events are super fun and teams carry a very sporty behaviour. Campus politics is highly discouraged.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, There are some scholarship schemes for students from economically weak sections. Loans are readily available. I had friends who availed them but I did not use either of these.

Campus Life

The youth club is very active along with the sports & extra curricular activities. The college fest is organised with great pomp and show & students represent the college in competitions in other campuses across India. Robotics club has some super mentors. The gender ratio is amazingly good when compared to other engineering colleges.

Alumni/Alumna

There are so many alumni networks - on every social platform & for every country. They are always helpful & supportive in matters of higher education & job.

Exam Structure

Labs are very regularly conducted. Exams will be thrice every semester. To do well you will have to be regular with studies. No excuses are entertained for attendance. Each faculty would have their own way of evaluation.

Admission

Get the form from college. Phones & emails are well answered. The website has all the updated information. Process is transparent & there are separate NRI seats for those who are interested. No donation, no hidden fees. Notification is released around March and forms are available around April. You admission will depend only on your rank.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . After that students can attend the counselling sessions where they can vbisit the college get to know about the college . the admission staff is very helpful and they guide the students and family step by step throught out the whole process....Read More

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements.
