Highly esteemed college with a very rich history of 150 years. IIT Roorkee has a very good placements rate of more than 95% each year. Numerous opportunities are provided to students in both core and non core fields. It is an outstanding college and I am very happy with my choice of selecting this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here in the chemical engineering department of IIT Roorkee we have up to date course curriculum which is well organised and reviewed from time to time. It's faculty comprises of 30 professors who are pioneers of their fields and hold various national and international degrees.
Internships Opportunities
Axis Bank- Role-Data analyst, Duration-2 months, Stipend- 50000 pm and Project- Based on household sector's liabilities and assets and interest rates provided by banks in India.
Placement Experience
More than 300 national and international companies visit the campus for hiring during November- December. Around 95% students are offered jobs. Remaining opt for higher studies or sit for off campus hirings.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Tens of scholarships are provided to economically weaker students, top performers in JEE Adv and meritorious students of each department. Around 300 companies visit campus for the placements each year in November, hiring 800-900 students of all the departments.
Campus Life
Campus Life is awesome at IIT Roorkee. World class facilities are provided to its students. For stay there are 12 bhawans in the campus. Individual buildings for each department. Central and departmental libraries containing lakhs of books. Thomso and Cognizance are our cultural and technical fests respectively.
Hostel Facilities
We have bhawans in our campus 2 for girls and 11 for boys. Each bhawan has facilities of mess,stationary, fruit stall, barber shop, parlour,game room, gym, reading room, laundry, tv room and guest rooms.
Admission
JEE advance is the entrance test conducted for admission into IITs each year. I took coaching for preparation of the this test.
