NIT Calicut is one among the top NITs and it NIRF rank is 23. I chose CS branch here because I heard that NITC has the best faculty for CS than any other NIT. The admission was through JEE Mains and then after rank list is published we have to give our college preference order in top to bottom priority and according to that we get our college.To know more about NITC visit: www.nitc.ac.in
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Computer Science because it was my passion. I like to do coding and I am interested about tech that's why I chose CS over all other branches. The faculty at NITC is excellent and the CS faculty is the best over all other NITs. The faculties here have a great degree, knowledge and experience. Their teching method is also great. the term exams occur mostly in 2 months and it is pretty much hard but you can score good by great determination.
Internships Opportunities
One can apply for internship by the end of 2nd or 3rd year. And it's a very great experience to get internship in renowned companies.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty good at NITC. At NITC there is 100% placements for CS students and for other branches also its awesome. And to sit in the campus placement one will need minimum 7.5 or 8 cgpa according to different companies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total cost of a B.Tech program is almost 6.5 lacks for 4 years. There are also different types of scholarship available like CSS, MCM etc. And also you can apply for private scholarships. And also one ca apply for educational loans at bank for financial assistance.
Campus Life
Since it's corona pandemic, our batch has not visited campus till now. We have seen only photos and videos that our professors have shown us. But the clubs, events and social groups are highly active and the club inductions were all conducted online and it was all fun. The Club events are also online now. We had gaming events, some other fun tasks and all was online this year 2021.
Hostel Facilities
Because of this corona pandemic we have not went to our campus, so we have not seen the hostels yet. But our seniors said it's all good and also it is like for 1st year you will get a room with other 3 people to share, in 2n and 3rd year you will get a room where 2 people share an for 4th year you get a single room for your own.
Admission
There was only a online exam for admission and that was JEE Mains and the rank you get in this exam decides your future college. This is the exam one have to write to get into any NITs and alos some other private colleges. I prepared 2 years for JEE Mains by going to entrance coaching.
