Remarks
I chose JIS college of engineering because the teachers of this college are very friendly and helpful. I have taken admission in this college by counseling securing WBJEE rank. The criteria to take admission in our college is to secure at least 60% of marks in the last qualifying exam i.e. 12th board exam and have a valid WBJEE or JEE Mains rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose IT as my Stream as in recent days the job opportunities of an IT engineer are more than the other streams. In our class, there are approximately 50 students. Professors are highly qualified and with very good experience in teaching. Each sem there are 2 term exams and then the final sem exam
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered to the ranked students of the batch and on average 3000-5000 is expected as the stipend of the internship. Students have to submit a project in their final year of graduation from their curriculum.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. around 40companies visit every year to recruit students. A highest of 7LPA and an average of 3.6 LPA is offered in our college. Around 90% of the total batch is placed every year. After graduation, I would like to pursue my higher education in MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is of 4years having 8 semesters. The total fees for the course is 4,08,000. It is affordable as compared to other private engineering colleges. They provide scholarships to Tripura and Bihar students.
Campus Life
In the month of October, a tech-fest was organized in our college JIS TECH 2K21. The library facility is also available with around 40,000 books. In our college there is a sports club in which different sports are being played apart from this Gymkhana is also present in our college.
