Remarks

The admission process is very simple, you have to fill the form on the College website and Mumbai university website and submit a copy to the college office. You can get admissions anytime before sem exams though they might try to scare you with a time limit trust me I know. There was not any counseling that I am aware of.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was interested in physics that's why I chose this course. And For the first year total there was around 120 student of PCM together that's why teacher Student ratio would be 1:15 to 1:20 but in the second year. Most teachers are MSc and some are Ph.D. also. Most of the teachers are good at teaching. Term exams were timely even in the covid-19 outbreak. Previously, it was not that difficult or not that easy to pass. But because of online exams, it became easier to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

I would say the fees structure is reasonable. There may be some are scholarships but I don't know about it because it doesn't apply to our states. Annual fees are 12000 for the first year that covers all the costs of the library, games, labs, etc. And there is not that much hike because college is funded by the trust. One scholarship I know of is that will give conception in local rail tickets for students who are daily traveling in the local train to reach coll6.

Campus Life

3

Life at the campus is good. There are many fests in year organized by the club, probably I don't remember the names but ya there were numerous activities in the first year that we enjoyed then rest is history after Covid outbreak. There are two libraries one in the old college and one in the new College. Most academic books are available there. Classrooms are big and fully vantilated by big windows. There are many opportunities in different sports whether it is indoor or outdoor. There are many competitions organized in the year but the downside is we have to pay to participate in every competition.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
