The best college in Mumbai

The college is especially good for people who are interested in the field of research and development.

I took CET exams to get into the college. I chose VJTI because it is the best engineering college in Mumbai.

Since VJTI is an autonomous college it has a different course structure which is more focused on current technology. The vacations in VJTI are long enough to focus more on Research and other extra-curricular activities. They encourage students to indulge more in projects, extra-curricular activities, competitions, etc

Many companies come offer internships to students. The stipend ranges from 10,000 to 60,000 per month. The internships duration is mostly around 2 months

The placements in VJTI are outstanding. The salary in the comuter science and information technology are pretty good with the maximum salary going about 30L per annum. Companies like Seimens, microsoft, Samsung, JP Morgan and many more come to the college. The placement percentage is more than 90% for all the branches.

The technical festival called Technovanza is the best of all fests. It is one of the largest in the country having a footfall of around 20000. The cultural festival is called Pratibimb. The sports festival is called Enthusia. All the festivals are held in the month of December.

The fee structure is around 65k, which is quite reasonable compared to other engineering colleges. The low fees is due to the fact that it is a government aided autonomous college. The fees for the reserved categories are lower than 50k. The fees for NT is around 10k.

There are no scholarships from the college. But there is a scholarship department, which handles all the scholarship needs of the students, which are offered by various organisations

Organizing various festivals in the colleges gives you the confidence and experience to deal with the outside world. There are various technical competitions in the college during Technovanza, in which a lot of students participate. The Society of Robotics and Automation regularly participates in various national level and international competitions like Robocon.

The hostels are pretty good. New hostels are being build for the girls. The mess food is average. There are also hostel facilities available outside the college. The hostels have their own television and gymkhana services. The hostels also have a paid gym.

There is an alumni association in the college which holds an alumni meet every year in the college. Many of the labs and classrooms in Vjti are sponsored by the Alumni.

In each semester, there are two in-semester tests followed by the end semester tests. The labs are quite equipped and are very interesting for people who are actually interested in the field of engineering. There are no unwanted study leave for the exams.

The senior faculties have a superb amount of knowledge, the kind of knowledge that no one in other colleges in Mumbai posses. They have a lot of experience in their field having published a lot papers and patents. The junior faculties have good academic records themselves and are on their way to become more knowledgeable.
