Silicon institute of technology is one of the best colleges in Odisha. The undergraduates are admitted on basis of their scores in JEE mains. Students are required to opt for ojee councelling to get admissions. The college has seats reserved for the sc, st and the residents of the state. However, there is a fair chance given to the unreserved and the merit of students are acknowledged.

Our college has a very updated curriculum being an autonomous college it decides its own curriculum and conducts its examinations. The faculty here are all highly educated with P.H.D degrees and always supportive. If you are eager you can take plenty of knowledge from them. Examinations are very strict but eventually, you just need to follow the teachers and you can easily pass the semester exams within a week of preparation.

More than 60% of the placed students have got intern-to-job offers, where they do final semester internships with monthly stipends varying from 8000 to 25,000. The number of students with paid internships increases every year, with the highest internship offer going up to 25,000 per month in 2021.

You can get placements in any year depending on your skills but in college, the placement starts from the third year many students get paid internships and some also get PPO's. The highest package in the 2021 batch was 26 lakh. While the average package is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80 % of students get placed every year and the numbers are just increasing.

College fees are a bit high than other colleges in Odisha but less than iter and kiits. You could assume to spend 10 lakh in your 4 years including all the costs of college fee, hostel fee, food cost, and miscellaneous you may spend. If you go only with the written figures then it's 748000 leaving the food cost. More than 75% of the students get placed every year. There are several fests and events organized in our college from time to time and you will never be bored if you have an interest in music, dance, acting, etc. Our library has almost all the Books we need in our entire course in plenty of numbers. You can just get an idea you don't need to buy a book in your college just grab it from the library with a small charge. Classrooms are with all the amenities required. Even in pandemic, there was no problem to teach because of the availability of all the required machinery setups which helped in the smooth conductance of classes. There are clubs for almost all the things from coding to music and dance to yoga, fitness, sports, meta academic cells, robotics club, and many more. Infrastructure is quite impressive.

Hostels are provided for both girls and boys. The best part is hostels are inside the college campus itself so you don't need to wait for buses all the way to go to college. In fact, every single thing is inside the college campus. There are separate veg and non-veg canteen and food are good, it is obvious you will not get food as of home but it is better than many colleges.
