Remarks

When I was taking admission to DU the whole process was online. I took admission in the 6th list because before I was planning for CA with SOL but my advice is you should take admission in the very first list you are eligible in after that you can migrate to another college in the next list. If the next college's fees are more than the previous one then you have to pay the difference but if the fee is less then you will get the return from DU approximately after your 1st semester. The admission process was very easy and quick and way better than the previous counseling system. The best thing was DU gave a few live sessions on how to fill the form and apply for the courses and colleges according to the cut-off list. All in all the procedure was hassle-free. I applied for the sports quota and paid an additional fee of rs100 or 150 although I took admission based on my 12th class percentage.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose Bcom Hons. because I have an interest in auditing plus I was planning on doing CA. Since both the course have the same subjects so BCom / BCom Hons. Was my priority. The faculty is quite average for my course. But there are few very good teachers who provide you with knowledge of the practical/corporate world. But the best part is you can ask any teacher for help regarding career counseling, they are very helpful. Every teacher is very kind and not so strict. Teachers use a stylus and jam board to teach practical subjects like accounts and for theory subjects, they either provide you pdf or tell you the author of the recommended book. The term exams were of moderate difficulty. You will get a choice to select your GE in sem 1 and will have an option for changing it after 1st year but we didn't get any choice in the 2nd year regarding elective subjects whereas other colleges gave the students a chance to choose.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like MPL, tutree, mind house, pratjam education, Valerio electric, etc and few NGOs gives internship opportunities. The placement cell also organizes a few knowledgeable webinars. The internships are helpful and after completing the internships students get digital sharable certificates.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of my college provides enormous opportunities for internships for all-year students of all the courses with and without stipend. I have recently seen 4-5 students getting employed by Deloitte with a good starting salary with the help of the placement cell. I am in my 2nd year so I don't know about the percentage and package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite nominal. The procedure to pay the fee is also easy. The placement cell of my college provides enormous chances of internships for all the year and course students with and without stipend. They provide extra courses also like french language courses. To my knowledge, many students got their job placement in big 4 companies with a good starting salary.

Campus Life

4.5

Since I took admission during a pandemic, I didn't get any chance to physically attend any fest or freshers. The societies of college organize various online events consisting of competitions, live sessions on Instagram, and knowledgeable webinars. I have visited my college once. The infrastructure is good. The building is very clean and all the classrooms are well ventilated. Each classroom has a blackboard and a projector. There are few labs for the practical period. Some rooms are allotted for social work and have 1 auditorium. There is 1 library which is well organized. When I visited the college, I could see football and volleyball nets and also a basketball court.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
