I was inclined to Commerce since my High school so it wasn't hard of a task after I completed my School level education and passed with a 9.6 CGPA. Always wanted to master in Business Administration after my Undergrad and hence chose this field of study. Decent Faculty students ratio. JG College of Commerce boasts about it legacy because it holds a strong Alumni network ranging from Authors to Public servants and Entrepreneurs to established Businessmen. Most of the staff is this college's alum and highly experienced. The teaching method is completely conventional and holistic. Term exams were conducted once in 6 months i.e after every semester. Unit tests and attendance are significant to issue the Hall Ticket for the sem-end examination. Difficulty level- Easy to moderate

From the 6th semester (2 semesters of the final year), the students are eligible for campus placements. Companies that are service and IT-oriented do visit the campus in the Final semester. 3 months of Placements- Dec-Jan-Feb. The highest package for an Undergrad was around 3 lakhs CTC and the average was 1.5 lakhs CTC, More than 70% of students get placed. My plans after graduating were to do Masters

The course fees for UG are pretty nominal. For meritorious students (90% +in Plus 2) there actually is a waiver of a certain amount of fees at the entry-level of UG. Cost to study - 18k to 20k per year - Below average.15k to 17k per year - meritorious students. Scholarship benefits/Financial assistance can be availed from Karnatak University, Dhawrwad, to which JGCC is affiliated. Campus placements take place in the final semester of the third year. These companies don't demand an internship as such and hence no stipend.

Every batch gets to organize an Annual Fest in the final year of their UG. Mostly these events are Marketing and Finance oriented. There is a huge building inside the campus that is solely dedicated to the Library. A wide variety of books and a seperate computer lab inside the Library building attract many students be it UG or PG. The College building is quite ancient and the style of classrooms is mostly traditional, well-ventilated with ample sunlight Benches and Boards have been upgraded. Provision for Projectors - Yes, JGCC allows thriving in your extracurriculars ranging from Sports to Cultural and Social.
