KNIT Review

The admission in KNIT is through the upsee counselling. You can participate in upsee counselling through your upsee examination score or JEE mains score. You can find the application form and important dates on upsee site. Reservations are available during the admission process. No admission process is good so I don't want any improvement in the admission process.

I choose this course because I am interested in technology and data science. Most of our college faculty is highly educated and responsible. Their teaching methods are very good and they explain every topic in detail and in an easy way. Our semester exams are tough and difficult to pass.

Since I'm in the 2nd year so I don't know much about the internship opportunities but I know that internships can be started from the 3rd year. The companies that take placements from knit are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, they can also provide internships.

From the 4th year or 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The main company that visit our college is TCS. The average package is approximately around 3-5 lakhs and the highest packages can go up to 10-12 lakhs. Approximately 75 percent of students get placement from the college.

Fees for the IT branch is more than the other branches. The fees of IT branch is approximately 15 thousands more than the other branches. And the fee for one year of IT is approximately around 90k. There are scholarships available in college based on parents annual income and also on the basis of merit. The fee waiver is also present in KNIT.

Life at the campus is above average. There are a lot of social groups and clubs. Sports and extracurricular activities are also done on an average scale. There are a lot of books in libraries which helps in reading the books we can't afford.

The hostel facilities are good in KNIT. There are generally 2-3 students in each room. And the mess food is average. It's not so good but it's also not so bad. The fees of the hostel are included in the yearly fees and when we go to college then they decide the rooms for each student.
