Remarks
For applying in vit. College one must have passed 12th class and should have given at least one engineering entrance exam such as JEE mains, advance, CET, etc. There's a website named "josaa" For students who gave jee exam and for students who gave cet there's another website called "cet.cell" in my case which was cet. All students should apply to those websites with respect to the exams they gave and submit all your details such as a photocopy of your mark sheet, your caste certificate, your domicile and all that, you get a chance to choose the college you want and after 1st CAP round you get know is your score is above the CUT off of that respective college if you get the college of your preference with the preferred branch then you can either freeze it or float, in case you didn't get the college of your preference in 1st round you can simply float it and apply for next round. One person can do this for 3 rounds until he gets a preferred college with a preferred branch and there is a reservation quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course which b.tech in production, which is an emerging field in modern engineering. there are enough faculties in the college with a ratio of 1:25. For the first year, faculties were not that qualified but in the 2nd and 3rd year, all faculties were Ph.D. holders. Vit college is an autonomous college and because of that exam structure is vastly different from regular semi-autonomous colleges. Our exam structure is like we have term exams every 3 months and it's an MCQ exam though it's simple.
Internships Opportunities
One of the reputed company Tata elxi has given the internship to many of our students from the 3rd year with a stipend of nearly 15-30 k Per month. We have to do a course project, minor project, and engineering design project every semester.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are different companies visited our college like TATA elexi many of our students got placed in this company and some more companies like TATA Motors, TCS, etc. The highest package of 7-8 LPA and average of 2.5-4 LPA is been given this year and nearly 50-60% of students get placed. Vit college has the best placement ratio for CS/IT students so if you want to get placed at vit college you better choose cs/it branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fees are nearly 150k and for that many students apply for scholarships in my case I have applied for a state government scholarship and I got financial assistance for nearly 140k and that's a huge amount.
Campus Life
The only con of vit college is that it has too small a college campus it's like our school campus was bigger than this college. Though it has a small campus it has all the facilities available like a library, high-tech computer lab, sports club, robotics forum, etc.
