I took CAT in 2020 and separately applied for the college. Candidate must have done post-graduation and have secured at least 50 percent marks in it. Candidates can go to the official site of MDI Murshidabad and fill out the application form for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching method is very good, all the faculties pay attention to all the students equally and try their best so that they can convey everything to them, I applied for this course because this is the flagship course provided by the institute.

our SIP process has just started and one-third of the batch has got offers from many reputed companies. Roles offered were of product manager, B2B sales, Brand management, and many roles from other specialization like HR, Operations and Finance were also offered

Campus Life

There is everything available you need on campus. The classroom is well equipped with a smart boards and ACs. We have our own cricket and football ground, gymnasium, indoor badminton, and TT facilities and not to forget a swimming pool too.

There are single occupancy rooms in the hostel. Wifi facility is also available in hostel. Mess food is also really good and there are various dishes in the menu oncluding both veg and non veg Hostel facility is included in the fees. you dont have to apply for it seperately

This year we were not having GD, PI was taken by faculty itself. I was given prepartion tips from my coaching institiute from where I took my coaching for CAT. Process is pretty simple you just have to apply for the college and if you meet the desired criteria you will be called for the further admission process.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
