Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are well qualified most of them to hold phD 2 internal exams are conducted each semester to evaluate the performance of students and one University exam at the end of each semester. It is easy to pass the end-semester exam as the pass mark is 40.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internships with stipend offers Internships are necessary for artending placement tests from various companies like wipro infosys TCS etc.Also there is a project work during final semester which help to get various job in MNCs

Placement Experience

From s7 onwards students can attend placement test of various companies informed by placement cell .Each Company has their own conditions.some of them put forward the condition of no history of supply some are not.Around 50% students are placed each year

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee is different for merit management and SC/ST/OEC category SC/ST/OEC has a fee concession. Scholarship like egrantz is available. Well campus placement around 50% of students is placed in each department

Campus Life

There are freshers day, college day, union day, farewell day, sports and other extracurricular activities to improve the skills of students and have IEDC, IEEE, hack club, etc and also union day conducted by the college union

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
