As I wanted to stay in Nagpur & pursue a career in science, therefore I opted for the BSc program at Hislop college Nagpur. Faculty: student ratio at Hislop is about 1:40. All the faculties at Hislop college are a doctorate in their respective subjects. and every faculty have their unique way of teaching. which make you love the subject and develop excitement about learning more. Semester exams at Hislop college are conducted under rtmnu guidelines, we have 2 semesters exams each year in our 3 year course. If you are a regular learner, it's not hard to ace these exams.

Internship opportunities at Hislop College are restricted to very few. Some students take internships with help of their connections. Some do research projects under professors of college or with professors of other colleges within the city.

As B.Sc. is not a professional degree. Therefore jobs opportunities are restricted. Companies like TCS, SBI, HDCF offers jobs in sales, HR, analyst, for 2.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Very few students opt for placement, many apply for higher studies are starting something of their own. I am planning for masters in chemistry after completion of my B.Sc. degree.

3 years B.Sc. course at Hislop college may cost you around 11000 for the unreserved category, around 6000 for OBC, and around 3000 for SC, ST and Cristian minorities. No stipend is provided during the course.

Life at the campus is not that great, but the company of good friends can make it better. Hislop host an annual cultural fest Athene and every department have their own fests throughout the year. We also have an annual flower show conducted by the department of biochemistry and biotech at year end. For books and journals, we have well equipped physical and digital libraries. Sports facilities are limited as campus size is small. Hislop college has many clubs and cells, ranging from entrepreneurship cell, women development cell etc.
