Eligibility for applying to Thapar University for admission was minimum of 65% marks in Class 12th. While the cutoff for CSE was around 97 percentile in JEE MAINS. You can find the application form on Thapar University's official website. I think what they should do is not charge the fees after the first round of counseling. They should give the student time till the last round if he/she wants to go to another college.

The course curriculum is very well designed for CSE with a choice of electives in the 3rd year. I chose this course to gain knowledge in the field of computer science. For lectures, the ratio is good 1:120. For labs, the ratio is good 1:30. Qualification of teachers is top notch with many teachers having Ph.D. degrees but their teaching method is very poor. No focus on practical learning. Term exams were untimely because of covid reasons. The exams were pretty easy to pass.

D.E. Shaw, Adobe, JP Morgan, Arcesium, Trident, Optum, etc came with internship offers. However, the companies coming for internships are way less than the companies which come for campus placement in 4th year.

Students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year with internship opportunities provided by the college. Big companies like Microsoft, amazon visit the campus. The Highest package was around 48 lpa while the average was around 10 lpa for CSE. 90% of students are getting placed on campus.

The fee is too much. It will cost you around 20 lakhs to complete your CSE. The college does provide scholarships to people who have performed well in academics. Campus jobs are brilliant for CSE with an average package of around 10 lpa

SATURNALIA is the techno-cultural fest of Thapar. Thapar has a huge library with books and journals available across various categories. The classrooms are really good with projectors and air-conditioned rooms. Thapar has huge sports facilities available on campus. It has various technical and non technical societies for extra curricular activities.

Hostel Rooms are ok with AC and study table provided. Meals are average. Some days it's good but some days it's bad. They have a good menu though. Hostels are pretty affordable with fees of 32000 rupees per semester.
