Eligibility criteria are based upon the WBJEE exam. If u get a rank of about 5000-7500 in the WBJEE exam, u can get a seat here. You can apply for WBJEE through the official site of WBJEE which comes under govt. Of West Bengal. Further, they also take admissions through management quota where they take enough money, but u will surely have a seat without any examinations. For this, you can call the college administration (the number is available on Google) or u can directly visit the college campus in Kolkata. The admission procedure through both ways is good.

I chose this course because I didn't get a seat in JoSAA counselling & this college is in a good position in west Bengal. CSE branch has almost 100% placement every year. So, I opted for it. The faculty is good here. Not very excellent but it's satisfactory. some teachers are really not worth it but most of them are ok. Most of the faculty members have PhD degrees in their respective fields. They all are fairly educated. Teaching methods vary with the teacher.. most of the teachers teach in a satisfactory way.. it isn't very interesting but not too boring as well. We get their idea if we listen carefully. No mid-semester exams are held here. Rather, the conduct of four CA ( cumulative assessment) tests have a moderate level of difficulty. The best of these four are considered for overall evaluation. Besides this, they conduct end semester examinations which are at a fair level. But, marking is done a bit strictly in examinations, mainly in Practicals.

Internships are available from the 2nd year onwards but good & well paid internships begin from the 3rd year based on your skills. The same companies conduct internships that visit here for placements. Furthermore, I must clarify that internship is available mostly for CS & IT branches, other branches don't have much chance.

Placements begin from the 7th semester onwards. Good Companies like Microsoft has also visited here a few times. Further, we have Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. The highest package till now is around 18 LPA. The average salary is 6 LPA in CSE & IT branches. No other branch except these two has good placements. Only CS & IT have good placements - up to 100%. I plan to get placed in a good MNC after my BTech

Fees is not very much if u take admission through WbJEE. students in the management quota have to pay a fairly much larger amount of money. Financial assistance ( tution-fee waiver scheme) is provided if you give your income certificate & sufficient reason. Placements are great here (only in CS & IT branch). Almost 100% placements with average salary of 6 LPA CTC.

Yes, from time to time fests as well as co-curricular activities is conducted by various clubs present in the college. Some of the clubs are Geekonix, Samarath, Eclectica. All kinds of books are available in the library. The classroom has all basic amenities but no air conditioner. Air conditioners are only available in specific laboratories.
