Remarks

I choose this college because this college is one of the best private institutes to pursue B.Tech in other state. This college focus on more theoretical study than other institutes. The admission process is through JEE MAIN entrance exam. You have to attend the JEE MAIN exam and have to select this college along with the course while JEE MAIN COUNSELLING. And if you have scored well and got enough cutoff marks then you can get admission to this college. I preferred this college because I couldn't get any govt. colleges with desirable courses, and as this is one of the best private institutes for B.Tech, I preferred this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because I was interested in computer science only. I was not ready to compromise with my future. I wanted to do something with software development. So getting into other branches was out of the question. Here the faculties are good at explaining but have no implementation. This college is very strict in terms of teaching. They focus on teaching. You have to be sincere here otherwise you will lose your marks very easily. The qualification of the teachers is pretty good. The exams are very timely. It may be online or offline. The checking is a little bit strict but it's okay. You will surely do good if you just listen to the teacher's words carefully.

Internships Opportunities

2

The only internship opportunities available are the ones that the college organizes itself. That is of no use. In the first year, you are bound to do the internship from silicon but after that hope that you get internship opportunities somewhere else. You won't be getting any opportunities from the college. In the 2nd or 3rd year, they will allow you to do it from somewhere else but trust me you don't want to waste 5000 in just learning java. You can do a different course on any other platform like geeks for geeks but not this. The internship gets completed in one month with just theoretical learning.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students are eligible in the 3rd year for on-campus placements. Which is in the 6th semester. Mainly TCS, Wipro, amazon visits our college but barely 2 to 3 people get selected in amazon and other big tech companies. The employability of CS is better than any other branch of this college. I want to get into a tech company. If not that then I will be doing MTech in any college other than SILICON. The percentage of students getting placement is a maximum of 45 % or less.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is yeah a bit expensive as compared to the level of teaching, also the internships are also costly. The other courses or extracurricular courses are cheap, not that costly, can be accepted and paid by everyone easily, but the tution fees is high. There are no additional fees that we have to pay. And also no transparency in the fee breakdown.

Campus Life

4

Many competitions are held throughout the month by the different clubs in the college. It's a good thing about silicon. You will engage in other things except for studies like coding, drawing, dancing, dramas. and many more. You will be socializing a lot.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

yes, I have opted for a hostel. There are two boys hostel which has around 120 rooms in each hostel. the second boy's hostel is even bigger which has more than 150 rooms. each room is being shared by three people.in boys residence 1, the first and the third year students live whereas in boys residence 2, the second and the fourth year students reside. the hostel cost is around 33000 for a year which is already taken before at the time of admission if you are a hostile.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
