Remarks

Eligibility: 60% and above in 12th boards. Students who have completed their 12th irrespective of any stream can apply. All the details of the application form, fees, and dates can be found on their website- Not sure about the reservation benefits but after you apply, you would be assigned to an admission counselor who guides you throughout the admission process and clears all doubts. Regarding the application process, there is an entrance exam that wasn't related to the course, it included essay writing on any general knowledge topics. After which there was an interview where they ask basic questions related to the course such as, why did you opt for this course? Who is the father of psychology. But from what I noticed, almost every student was selected. The interview is easy to crack.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course because none of the other colleges in Mumbai provides BSC in clinical psychology (with specialization in bachelor). The curriculum is very detailed and structured well. They also have a program of summer internship after each year which helps you with exposure to the practical field. You get to learn different subjects under psychology every semester. Practicals are included in every semester which consists of a variety of psychological tests. Some teachers have completed their PhD in psychology, some teachers who have completed their masters in psychology teach and do their Ph.D. simultaneously. 6 sems for all three years, every year consisted of 2 sems each. Every semester there would be a midterm exam (15marks for written paper and 15 assignments) and a final end semester exam(70marks, subjective questions).

Internships Opportunities

4

Most of the time, Bachelor of Psychology students are not provided an internship with a stipend. Most of the hospitals require us to pay them to work under/with them. After every semester, you are asked to do an internship at any place with a psychology background like hospitals, schools, remand homes, mental health clinics, NGOs. The students are also provided with an opportunity to work with an organization that has a tie-up with our university. You have a choice to either work with the place they suggest or any place that you like, provided, you work at a psychology-related organization for a month. It is a mandatory project. The College provides an internship letter to work on the permissions required at the organizations. As the next semester begins, we are asked to brief the faculty about what was done during the internship followed by a report about it and a viva. The summer internship program carries 100marks. I worked at the children's aids society located at mankhurd.

Placement Experience

1.5

After the end of the semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Not aware of the campus placement process. 60% of students get placements. The average package would be 5LPA. I am currently pursuing my master's in clinical psychology at the same University after completing my degree at amity university, Mumbai.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest is conducted every year in the mid of February and March called 'Aminova'. There is a huge list of clubs run by students in the university. Each club hosts different kinds of webinars and activities for the students of all courses throughout the year. There is a sporting event called Sangathan which has intercollege sports events usually held in the Noida campus. Classrooms are air-conditioned and Spacious. The library consists of all books and journals for all courses but isn't too spacious. There is also an online Library facility that can be accessed once you receive the student website log In Id and password(Amizone) through which you can check your attendance, the timetable, notice for fees, webinars and events, etc. Clubs like ami- cult, ami psych, ami sports, Ami digital media club, Amity film club, AmI snap squad, ami trends, Ami yoga, and ami Astro.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities include wifi, laundry, air conditioners, Geyser, a stall with snacks inside the hostel, a common room which has a TV on every floor, 2 beds, 2 cupboards, 2 study tables for 2 students in each room. Each dorm had 3 rooms with 2 students in each room. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Each dorm has 2 washrooms. There is a medical room that had a nurse taking care of medical emergencies. The hostel fees do not include the mess fee. The mess fee would be 3300 per month with no non-veg items. Meal quality is worth the money you put in. Fresh fruits and different cuisines are included in the canteen meals. Food quality would be 10/10. There are restaurants and shops just outside the college gate where non-veg items are provided. Registration of hostel has to be done quickly as it's based on first cum first-served basis. There is a society called Indiabulls that's 10mins away from the college where most of the students rent a room which has similar facilities as a hostel.

Other Applied Colleges

St andrews, SNDT | BA in psychology

because none of these colleges in mumbai provided bsc in clinical psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
