Remarks

Documents were to be uploaded to the website for verification. As documents were verified, we had to submit an option form, describing the preferences of colleges. For VJTI, I was the 7th one selected for Mechanical with a rank of 1035. 1000 were to be paid for accepting the allotted seat through online mode. In 2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the MHT CET entrance was held in September, four months later than usual. The admission process began in November and is expected to end in January. I believe more than an excess time was provided for each of the steps inculcated in the Admission process. All the procedures could have been made quicker than usual in this unusual year, helping the colleges to commence as soon as possible and the syllabus to be started earlier. A list of required documents and procedures, amount of applicable fees to be paid should have been mentioned in the CET website, for each respective college. Staying about 50km away from college, I had to specially visit college for that piece of information.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I love to study Physics and Mathematics, hence Mechanical Engineering was the best course in front of me. VJTI, being an autonomous college, syllabus is quite recent and understandable. Professors are supportive and help out in getting a study done in an appropriate manner. Exams are held in a frequent manner and concepts get cleared through them.

Internships Opportunities

4

Practical knowledge is received by being an intern. College offers one of the best possible companies which train students for the actual world. It is pretty clear to get offered roles that can assist the company and also get self benefits. Projects were very useful for the application of knowledge gained over years.

Placement Experience

4.5

Having been termed to be one of the best engineering colleges in the state, it provides good placements. Packages are achieved such as to cover up the fees paid in four years quickly. Companies like Godrej, Bajaj, Capgemini, Infosys, etc visit colleges for placing eligible students. As per the report of VJTI, in 2019-20, 100% of eligible students were placed who were from fields of IT, CS, Electrical, Mechanical.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being from an OPEN CLASS, I had to pay 15,000 as my tuition fees, ?39,850 as my Development fees, 1,500 as exam fees, ?10,110 termed as other fees, 701 as student insurance fees, ?1,000 as Student Deposit and caution money. A sum of 68,161 was paid. Being a government aided institution, its fees was much more lesser than other colleges.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is pretty cool over here. Having a good Mumbai crowd, the standard is maintained. "Pratibimb" is the name of the annual fest. There is a page on Instagram for this fest that provides the gist of what this is about. The library is well maintained and also there are sports activities being done on the grounds. However, the infrastructure is a bit old-fashion as it is constructed in the pre-independence era.

Other Applied Colleges

Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi | B. Tech Mechanical

VJTI is the best college I could get admission in after scoring well in MHT CET. So didn't opt Vash
