Entrance Preview

I am deeply interested in cryptography and the CTF team of Amrita is number 1 in India- bi0s according to ctftime.org, so there was no better option to pursue Cyber Security than to join this institute. I gave JEE, BITSAT My BITSAT was a satisfactory 286.

Faculty

The faculty is well qualified and teach very well. We have the best International Faculty in India according to NIRF and QT. Due to the presence of our Chancellor Amma- some of her disciples who are highly qualified( like some of them have their PG from New York State University, University of Buffalo etc.). The ICPC club has teachers from the top CS University of the world, and students extract the most of it as well.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Amrita from the eyes of a first year

We do have an entrance exam which is AEEE which I had in the online mode because of covid otherwise it is offline. Students are also admitted on the basis of their jee mains percentile also there exists a management quota.
