Remarks

Eligibility for UG Btech/BE is JEE main OR CBSE board result for class 12. Check out the cutoff on the Thapar official site. All the application forms, application fees, and application date information in on the site. Reservation benefits are there for SC/ST/OBCs etc and Punjab students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE because I'm fascinated by its reach and scope. What CS can offer in the future is literally unparalleled. There are a sufficient amount of faculty for students in the CS department. You'll never feel lacking in reaching out to professors. Faculty is both Ph.D. holders and assistant prof working for PHDs. Quite balanced no. of exams in a sem. And quite comfortable to pass, also if you are regular in your studies. You'll easily pass all the exams.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are definitely high, especially for middle-class students. No unjustified fees will be taken during the sem though. Still, it is expensive especially if you take hostel and mess fees added to your fee receipt. There is a scholarship for students who have parents with salary of less than 8L per annum.

Campus Life

Thapar University has an Annual Tech-cultural fest called Saturnalia and Orion. It happens in October. There are ample books related to tech and non-tech for students in the library and is open most of the time with good facilities. The classrooms are good and well maintained. Sports and extra curr. activities are some of the main attractions for this college. Anyone can join and enjoy them.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
