Review of Dum Dum Motijheel College

The admission process in this college is direct. No entrance exam was taken during post-graduation admission. You have to get very good marks in your graduation to get admission. Minimum first class (60%marks ) is required. You have to do Mathematics honors to be eligible for Masters in Mathematics. The college will create a merit list based on the marks you have got from Madhyamika to graduation. If you appear on the merit list you have to pay the admission fee which is around 13k-15k You will find the application form on the college website. I have completed my B.sc in Mathematics now the next step is to complete MSc in Mathematics. So that I can give the NET SET entrance exam. I want to do a Ph.D. in Real Analysis. We had around 40 students and we had 4 professors in total. So the student-faculty ratio is ten students per one professor. Our professors have very much experience in teaching and they are highly qualified. All of them, have done Ph.D. and teaching for several years. They are very open-minded, understanding, interactive in the class. They are very keen to teach us deeply. We have to give 4 semesters in total so we have a total of 4 main exams and internal tests and practical exams. If anyone study regularly exam are not very difficult to pass

The college fee is decent and it's a little bit high than the government college. The total cost of study will be 35-45 k in two years. The average semester fee is around 10k per semester. It varies semester-wise. You can apply for a scholarship to recover your cost of study. The government scholarship is SVMCM, Kanyashree, OASIS. You will get 30k rupees per year from the scholarship. But if you want to get the scholarship you have to keep a minimum of 53% of your marks in the first year and your family income must be less than 2.5l per year. No job offered from college

Our college does organize many cultural programs like fresher's welcome, Saraswati puja, teacher's day. One big cultural function is organized every year, where many renowned celebrities come. Our college campus is good and hostel facility available for boys & girls. Our classroom is decent in size and very clean we have a good amount of space in our room. Our library room is good. We have all department's books in the library. Others from classes' books we have many novels journals magazine in the library. We also organize a sports program every winter and we have a helpful student union group
