Remarks
There was no GD or any other test, I just had to go through a PI. And I was asked a few general knowledge questions relating to the current scenario going on all over the world as well as during the covid times.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I am from a journalism background I realized that I wanted to open up my field a little and want to explore more than what journalism was offering me. The faculty here is very qualified where a major lot of them have done Ph.D. in their fields. The exams here are conducted on a quarterly basis and initially, it is hard to get hold of what I studied in 11th and 12th but it is basic and understandable after a while.
Internships Opportunities
The college is currently providing live projects and has also started with internship opportunities too which have a stipend of around 15-20k per month. The institute has started internship opportunities for all the courses ie finance, marketing, operations, and HRM.
Placement Experience
The minimum eligibility for a student to sit for placement is 60% although the students scoring less can also avail the placement opportunity but they are usually restricted to certain placement offers only. The average placement provided is 8-9 lakhs for finance and around 12 lakhs for marketing students. The placements usually start in the 5th tri sem and usually end in that tri sem only. The package is not very attractive in accordance with the ROI.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is a little high but in an MBA college, it is very decent, whereas the placement we get through this college is around 10-12 lakh, which means that ROI is not very good. But the scholarship policy is good since they provide 50,000 per tri sem.
Campus Life
The social interaction here is good since peer-to-peer learning is a very important element of MBA, and also the opportunities that clubs and conduits provide here are good since they give us exposure to how to perform in a professional environment. The library is equipped with all the requirements. For sports and extra curricular activities, the college has there own clubs and conduits that support students in these regards.
Hostel Facilities
The course is a compulsory residential course and there is no other option than to stay in the hostel but the facility provided here is good. The mess food and menu are not very great. The hostel cost is 186000 pa which is a decent amount for a hostel room.
Interview Experience
No, I just had to go through an interview where they asked me a few basic questions related to the current scenario as well as what is happening during the time of covid. They also asked me questions related to my previous background as well as general knowledge-related questions.
