Remarks

One must score a good rank in jee mains, and opt for jossa counseling. One can find the application form on jossa and NTA website of jee mains and fees for the application form is variable for different category students. No, i have not got any reservation Benefits. Yes, Admission Process is very difficult in jossa and Students find difficulty to get good college even if they have a good rank

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose mechanical engineering because I want to go for government jobs and PSU. Enough faculty for students can easily reach to professors for any doubt no Crowded system All teachers are Great and have Ph.D. degree holders, teaching more than 10+ years and they have a great aroma. They teach in a very good way and help to improve a student's mental ability. Exams are difficult only since we get less time per semester coz of Corona.

Internships Opportunities

4

Microsoft, Amazon, tcs, Infosys, and alot more companies came this year and offered offers to students. I have not opted for Intership bcz I'm preparing for the gate examination. IIT Jammu students are collaborating with NIT Srinagar so a lot of lf projects are going on into the campus that will help the overall development of students.

Placement Experience

3

From 3rd year onwards one can take placements and work. Campus placements are Average and good no. of offers are made to students every year. Highest package is 32 lpa and 8lpa is average its various from year to year. More than 75% of students get placed in the 4th year. I will go for government jobs after the course completion.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are average and same as all National institute of technology, a person can complete his/her engineering in less than 8 lakhs and that's great. Since this is goverment college so facilities are good and exposure is also so good. Alot of scholarships are available for students, for economic weak section, for scheduled castes/schedule tribes students and pwd students. Private and national scholarship are available.

Campus Life

4.5

Techvaganza is tech fest in Nit Srinagar, and lot of opportunities is provided to Evey student of the campus, other college students are also welcomed to our institute. Great books and lot lf books are available along with research papers and scientific journals. Classrooms are welll furnished and good. Every sports Facility is provided to Every student and they get genuine coaching. More than 10 groups and clubs /societies are in the campus for overall development of students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

One table, one chair, one bed, one almirah for every student. Meal quality is average and all type of food is provided to Evey student, ranging from veg to nonveg, northern to south Indian, and all dishes on different days of the week. Registration for a hostel is done after admission and one should have to fill the hostel application form and submit it to the warden. It's difficult to rent a pg bcz SRINAGAR is a very sensitive area and one Cannot live outside the campus safely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
