My review of Dum Dum Motijheel College

The eligibility of this course is that you must have completed graduation in Mathematics (10+2+3 system) from any registered university. The admission process is direct merit-based. You can apply here if you get a minimum of 50% marks in B.sc Mathematics honors. But the cut-off marks were very high. To get a seat you have to get above 70% marks in graduation. College authorities will create a merit list based on your graduation and maybe your class 12th marks. If you are eligible then you can pay the admission fee which was Rs 13500. Yes reservations are available for OBC/SC/ST candidates and 20% of seats are available for other university students.

Mathematics is my most favorite subject. And I want to pursue higher studies in pure mathematics. We have 4 professors in our department and 2 guest lecturers. So we have a total of 6 faculties. And we have around 40 students in the pg mathematics department. So we have almost one professor for 6-7 students which is good. All of our faculties are good. They take regular online classes and complete the syllabus. No doubt they are highly qualified professionals. They teach us topics deeply. We have a total 4 semesters. Besides this, we have practical exams and internal exams

The college is under WBSU. Our college fee is almost double that of WBSU's main campus. The admission fee was taken Rs 13500 and for every semester the fee varies between Rs 8,000-10,000. So total cost is between Rs 40,000-50,000 in 4 semesters. And this is a little bit high for poor middle-class people. But for needy students government scholarships are available. Swami Vivekananda Scholarships are available for both boys & girls and Kanyashree scholarships are available only for girls. Every year for science students the scholarship amount is Rs 30000 so the college fee can be waived if you got above 53% marks.

In our college, we have many extracurricular activities like cultural programs, sports programs, different seminars, etc. In our annual cultural programs, many students participate in many activities like drama, singing, recitation, dancing, etc. We have all kinds of books in our library. We have an awesome college library. It is filled with thousands of books we have many different kinds of journals, magazines, novels for avid readers. Our classroom is satisfactorily cleaned. Yes, we have many sports activities all around the year. Our college campus is very good. We have a little garden on our campus. The campus environment is anti-ragging.
