Remarks

IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) as by name it is easy to understand why anyone who wants to pursue his/her carrier in Science wants to get admission in IIT. IIT Roorkee is the one of the oldest engineering college and well established infrastructure among all other IITs. IIT Roorkee offers a great scientific environment. To get selected for M.Sc. program in IIT, one has to write JAM (Joint Admission Test for Master's). Based on your marks you can choose which IIT you want to go and I got enough score to secure IIT Roorkee and feel blessed for being there.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in Physics and that's the reason I am pursuing my carrier in Physics. Academic course structure is good for Btech but still for M.Sc, IITR provides old syllabus. Student to faculty ratio is good but not enough. The course we were taught was fine and we enjoyed but we couldn't study the modern science and In my opinion that is very bad for students.

Placement Experience

In the last year of each course or program students become eligible for placement. Many companies come to campus for hiring the students. Placement cell of IIT Roorkee holds the record for highest package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is simple and fee hiking is decided by the IIT authority. IIT provides scholarship qnd financial assistance to the students. Placement team is very good and placement rate is awesome. Sports facility is the best and IIT holds good records in sports and games.

Campus Life

I love the college life and IIT Roorkee campus fit best to live college life. There are cultural club, students clubs, different cells based on science and technology and best sport and gaming facilities. Annual festival 'THOMSO' is the pride of IITR. There are so many tech festivals, workshops are conducted. Central library is the best place to study and it's architecture is the heavenly. IITR campus is the best in its infrastructure and establishments.

We have group discussion as I was part of the Astronomy Club at IIT Roorkee. We discussed so many scientific aspects and new discoveries, theories and experiments. In classroom some of the professors used to have group discussion among us. But, all this was academic and I didn't get any chance to have group discussion for any job interview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course (BAMS) is very good and interesting. In initial days it is little bit difficult to understand the concepts but teachers explains very well that you will get the concepts as Ayurveda is a different & ancient science . You will get very much of written work No clinical postings and OPD postings. I think it should be implemented

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

I chose this course due to my own interest. This course is relevant enough to prepare the person to solve real-life applications and adapt thinkingness and knowledge. It would be helpful if they use visual content to teach it will be helpful. The frequency and timing of exams are perfect according to the level of the paper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have seen students who have studied from here have achieved many things in life some of them became professors here. Some are doing work abroad. According to me something there should be a change like having more practicals if you have taken subjects like IT, cs,bca or any other practical subjects book knowledge is also compulsory but by doing practicals we can learn more easily. Exams are normal for 1st year but as you are going higher difficulties will come.

GREAT COLLEGE

Admission:

The entrance exam is held on June 1 every year. IIMs .silly running. The test is for admission to all IIMs including IISK Shikesh, Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. After selection, you just have to visit college for filling the form.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
