Remarks

It's nearby relatively and since many know cs is good course. These are some of the driving factors for the selection of corresponding college and course.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have got our seperate slots known as consultancy hours where we can consult the teacher regarding any doubt that we are facing. This shows how much caring are they for the students. Two tests are taken over semester, alongwith suprise tests and assignment submission for the theory subjects. For practical subject we have to appear the lab tests and viva too.

Major companies for recruitment includes Mindtree, Infosys, SAP labs, TCS, Accenture,etc. Two of our students this year have also been placed in Amazon. The Entrepreneurship cell may provide funding to those startup ideas which they like,otherwise any startup idea is welcomed and they can guide us with the detailed information and show us the path too. Biggies and lecture Notes are such examples.

College Events

We have our cultural fest in February. It is an annual event of three days. In the morning we have Noesis which has the fun events and different competitions. There are cash rewards for every such competition.This year we had hip hop battle too and also had rapper Bigdeal amongst us, he is a famous Odia rapper. In the night we have dj. Stalls are being placed by the students itself.

Campus Life

We have got basketball court, football ground, cricket practising nets, gymnasium, volleyball court,table tennis and many such others sports facilities. We have a library with 200+ seating capacity. The library has got all the books,if any such book which is required for the students and is not present in library, we can Inform the Dean and he will look after the matter. We have an indoor stationary shop within the campus where all kind of stuffs which are required for any student are available and hence prevents us from going outside the campus. We also have a wifi zone with sitting arrangement and musical fountain where soothing music is played depending upon the time of the day.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
