Anonymous's Review On Silicon University, Bhubaneswar

This is one of the best colleges in Bhubaneswar and also in the state. Since it's in Bhubaneswar,the opportunities and exposure would be higher here. The campus is completely ragging free and the college also has selected facilities for the Anti Ragging Squad,where we can logde a complaint against ragging at any time and this was the main factor that drove me here.

The college has got its Autonomous tag in 2018. This led to the addition of some extra compulsory non credit subjects which is required for personal development. The teachers are trained and experienced enough to handle 60-70 students at a time.

The students who are eligible to apply for the campus recruitment generally get placed in the MNCs. The students of third and fourth year are also offered internships by the companies. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, ValueLabs, ST Micron, Mindfire Solutions, Mindtree, AcesoCloud, Spikewell,Capgemini,etc. are the major recruiters. Some students also opt for higher studies. The Entrepreneurship cell of the college provides necessary guidance to the students with their ideas.

We have our cultural fest in February. It is an annual event of three days. In the morning we have Noesis which has the fun events and different competitions. There are cash rewards for every such competition. In the evening we have our cultural fest called as zygon. These three days prove out to be the best time of the year for all the students. The events are organised and supervised by the Student Council of the college consisting of both the CRs as well as some of the faculties.

We have got basketball court, football ground, cricket practising nets, gymnasium, volleyball court,table tennis and many such others sports (both indoor and outdoor) facilities. The labs are well equipped but some of the lab instruments do not work properly and led to wrong results. We also have a wifi zone with sitting arrangement and musical fountain where soothing music is played.
