Remarks

I was attracted to this college based on both its academic reputation as well as knowing several others from my high school whom I respected attending here ahead of me. This college has lived up to its academic reputation and more. I have found opportunities for personal growth and development not only academically, but also to expand beyond classroom knowledge. Most of my professors in my major have real world experience outside of academia and it shows. The professor for the capstone class in my major was instrumental in guiding me to an internship this past summer which greatly expanded my professional experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

All professors are Doctorate. Academics of FIT is best. As I'm a student of IT department, I feel very free with my ME teachers. Moreover, there is very informal atmosphere. You can asks doubts to teachers. Teachers give personal attention towards students.

Course Fees: INR 362000 per year

Placement Experience

Every year Amazon, VMware, TCS, Infosys many companies visit RCOEM. The average package of CSE and IT is 5 lakhs. This year Amazon gave 21 LPA to 2 graduates of CSE and VMware gave 19 LPA to 4 Graduates of CSE. Highest package of IT was upto 10 LPA. In RCOEM, you ensure 100% placements in CSE and IT

College Events

Campus life is very good here. There are two canteens providing tasty and healthy food. Plus, the campus is huge and also beautiful at the same time. Students can play various games and also they can participate in the different competitions organized by the clubs here. The teachers and support staff are very helpful and the location is safe. It can handle emergencies very well

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My rank in wbjee wasn't such good enough to get CSE in max of Kolkata's college. Also i wanted a college pretty close to the Kolkata metro. I didn't want to wear uniform.
