Remarks

The college is situated at the center of New Delhi and is well connected to roads, railways and metro. Zakir Husain Delhi College is a part of Delhi University and my seniors had also suggested me to take admission here. I got admissions here in the first cut off released on the official website of Delhi University.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was recently updated at the time of our admission. So, we went through new pattern and syllabus. The faculties at Zakir Husain Delhi College are well trained and experienced. They are very polite and generous towards students. They are helpful in nature and keep on motivating the students.

Various companies visited our college for the campus recruitment. Names of the companies include Barclays, ICICI, Wipro, Genpact, Livewel Aviation Industry, Max New York Life Insurance Co, Google and Wipro technologies.

College Events

Delhi University is famous for its fest and Zakir Husain Delhi College follows this legacy. The fest are organised each year with great enthusiasm and students refresh their minds by participating in such fests. Moreover, there are department fests and annual day celebrations. Students are allowed to enjoy in fests without any restrictions.

Campus Life

The college infrastructure is quite good. The college offers free Wi-Fi facilities to the students. The college has its own football team. The college Library is very famous as its the oldest library. The labs are well equipped. The college canteen provides best quality food and do not sell Junk Food. A Safal Dairy is also available at the college for fresh juices and other dairy products.

Good Exposure in Event Management Field

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Aspects of the GGSIP University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

I applied to several colleges including hansraj college ,kirorimal college within in the university of delhi,along with a couple of private institutions such as christ university and amity university.among the zakir hussain college stood out due to its unique offering in a certain parameter. but unfortunately i didn't secure admission to hansraj or kirori mal due to their higher cutoff in my courses .
