This is one of the most renowned commerce colleges in India. Previously it has been ranked as 2nd best college for commerce. It has some of the best faculties who have great knowledge about the subjects and have authored various books.There is always disciplinary environment in the college.Students have allotted seats and they have to sit accordingly. No changing of place is allowed.There are various clubs which will help you to explore yourself and provide a platform to showcase your talent.Co curricular activities will give you the requisite exposure needed.The best part of the college is The Placement that it provides.The average package of a B.com graduate is 6-7lacs p.a
Course Curriculum Overview
When I compare my course (B.COM honours) with folks from other colleges, I feel my course was a bit aggressive which is great. You get to learn a lot. The fact that Xavier?s is autonomous helps the institution define it?s own curriculum and marking methodology which is quite different from the University of Calcutta. So you always end up learning more.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. I won?t say exceptional but they?re good. You have giants like EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Google, Reckitt Benckiser, Tata, PwC, etc visiting the campus every year. These are just to name a few. In addition to this there are also local businesses or start ups that give Xavier's a visit.
College Events
Xavotsav is one of the most prestogious events of the city which is conducted by Xaverites.Its a three day event where colleges from pan India compete.Some of the celebrities that have graced the events are Shirley Sethia, Gajendra Verma etc.
