IIST Trivandrum, Power Electronics

Remarks

Lab facilities, infrastructure and faculty were my preferences for joining in IIST. Good things are you have freedom to do what ever you want. Bad things are very few management decisions, which students don't like them. Admission process is shortlisting through gate, fee payment for blocking the seat and document verification.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because I like to have career in power electronics. Faculty to student ratio in my time is 3/6. Now it is 3/10. Faculty are top class and strength to the IIST power electronics course. The term happens every 2 months of a semester. Pass depends on follow-up of the course. You can score only average marks in any exam.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship for power electronics in IIST happens in the college as a Pre-requisite of the project.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 3rd sem, placement starts. Roughly 5 companies will come for our branch. Highest is 9lpa .Lowest is around 7lpa .Placement ratio: 4/5 students. Most of not placed students opt for phd in iits and may be foreign colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My time: Fee: 80k(no food)/four semesters. AICTE Stipend: 300k/four semesters. Now: Fee: around 65k(with food)/semester.AICTE Stipend: 300k/four semesters. Placement: 4/5 Of our Batchmates got placed with package of around 9lpa .

Campus Life

5

Campus life will be good, if you are active in participating all events including studies. Conscientia is tech fest, Dhanak is cultural fest. Library has all our requirements. Class rooms are very good. Some sport event will keep on happening in the college pre corona.

Hostel Facilities

5

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology
